Enphase Energy recently announced new features for the Enphase Installer Toolkit, a mobile app designed to help solar installers improve overall business productivity by making installations faster and more efficient. Enphase has enhanced the Installer Toolkit so that installers can now use the app to wirelessly connect to the Enphase Envoy Communications Gateway, which connects the system’s modules and microinverters to Enphase’s monitoring software.
By connecting to the Enphase Envoy, installers can quickly verify the system setup using the mobile app on their smart phone. The success of the installation is confirmed before the installer leaves the job site.
“In today’s competitive market, installers are always looking for ways to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. Increasing the productivity of the on-site installation team is key to achieving these goals,” says Jeff Loebbaka, senior vice president of global sales, marketing and support of Enphase Energy. “With the Installer Toolkit, Enphase is helping to make installations easier and faster. It’s a great foundation for more tools to come.”
Once connected to the Envoy Communications Gateway, installers can use the Installer Toolkit to:
- Verify that the microinverters are activated, communicating and producing power.
- Configure a Wi-Fi network for reporting to Enlighten.
- Select a location-specific grid profile for the microinverters when necessary.
- View and email a summary report to confirm a successful installation.
The Installer Toolkit is available globally in English, French, Italian and German as a free download in the iTunes app store.
