SolarMax, a Swiss-based global photovoltaic inverter company with U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, announced that its general manager Alan Beale, general manager has been named to the board of the Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA).
“The Georgia Solar Energy Association board welcomes Alan Beale,” says Mark Bell, chairman, GSEA. “Since SolarMax’s first U.S. office opened in Georgia last year, he has demonstrated the company’s commitment to the strength of Georgia’s solar community. His leadership skills and enthusiasm will help propel our efforts to assure Georgia’s solar energy potential and educate Georgians about the benefits of solar energy for our state.”
As a newly appointed board member, Alan Beale’s responsibilities include promoting the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy throughout Georgia. As an experienced and well-connected industry executive, Beale will advise the board on industry technology advancements and business best practices to help steer decisions that will help the industry grow throughout the region.

A high-tech and PV solar industry veteran, Alan Beale, heads SolarMax’s U.S. office and leading sales, marketing and growth in the U.S. market. Beale came to SolarMax from REFUsol, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that, Alan has led a long career in technology including executive leadership roles at Canesta, Immersion Corporation, SGI and General Electric. He received his mechanical engineering degree from Clarkson University and has lived in locations around the world including England, Germany, Brazil, Asia, Detroit and Silicon Valley.
