Mounting Systems is proud to announce the completion of a 3 MW solar system at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. Consumers Energy collaborated with electrical contractor, J Ranck Electric Inc., for the electrical and racking installation of Mounting Systems’ Sigma I Steel ground mounts to support the solar project .
“The racking components are lightweight and installation is fairly straight forward. There is also some flexibility with the location screws that helps you make field adjustments as needed,” said Mauricio Pincheira, the Renewables Program Manager of Consumers Energy. “The Mounting Systems team was very professional, responsive and easy to work with. They have very good technical support on standby at all times, and worked very well with us during the engineering process.”
Mounting System’s Sigma I Steel ground mount system offers new, proprietary cold-rolled steel with clamp click technology for speed and ease of installation. Furthermore, this ground mount system meets UL 2703 requirements and is ISO-9001 certified.
For the manufacturing of the hand-assembled parts, Mounting Systems utilized the local workforce in Michigan to manufacture and assemble Sigma I Steel components offsite to speed on-site installation.
“The Sigma I Steel mounting system utilizes advanced technologies in steel coating as well as the most innovative techniques in racking pre-assembly,” said Holger Giebel, CEO of Mounting Systems, Inc. “This results in a highly durable, long-lasting product that is both easy to install and extremely cost effective.”
With over 8 GW installations internationally and 22 years of expertise in the industry, Mounting Systems is proud to announce the construction of its Sigma I Steel ground mounts toward another successful solar development.
