Walters and Wolf, a west-coast leader in premier cladding services, has elected to proceed with a 305 kilowatt expansion to their existing solar facilities at their Fremont location.
Vista Solar installed a 202 kilowatt system in 2015 to address one of two main meters at the site. The project was successfully completed on time and within budget. The success and savings generated by the first project encouraged Walters and Wolf to address the second meter at the site. The 305 kilowatt addition will bring their total solar generating capacity to 507 kilowatts. The two systems will combine to generate an estimated 767,474 kilowatt-hours annually and saving Walters and Wolf $156,530 per year in energy expenses.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency’s calculations, Walters and Wolf is estimated to offset more than one million pounds of carbon dioxide annually through clean solar energy production. An amount equivalent to the carbon sequestered by 434 acres of United State forests in one year.
Vista Solar’s Director of Project Development Cale Garamendi stated, “I am excited to collaborate with Walters and Wolf once again. Our companies share a commitment to quality, safety and excellence. I am proud to partner with Walters and Wolf to deliver savings and clean energy for decades to come.”
