Schletter’s snap-in-place, ballasted flat roof system is now ETL Classified to UL 2703 and features new, easier-to-install components. Ideal for commercial-scale systems when a high concentration of modules is required, the AluGrid reduces loading on the roof.
The AluGrid has been re-designed to use a pre-assembled, two-piece clamp equipped with a grounding pin. The pin pierces the anodized surface of the module frame, bonding the modules with the system—no copper wire or grounding lugs needed.
Concrete pavers are placed in rear wind deflectors, accomplishing three tasks in one: providing ballast, interconnecting rows and ensuring even distribution of forces on the roof.
Designed and installed identically to the AluGrid, the AluGrid+ includes a bottom module rail for module clamping at the quarter point.
Other features of the mounting system include the following:
- • Updated components for easier installation—system snaps in place and is secured with self-drilling screws
- • Use of aluminum alloys provides nearly indefinite lifespan, even in high UV radiation areas
- • Fixed tilt of 10 or 15 degrees
- • Design based on wind dynamics research
