Over nine years in the Solar Industry, two with KACO new energy and seven with SMA America. As a Senior Technical Trainer for the Solar Academy I specialize in Technical Sales and Marketing with a focus on Residential and Commercial products. I also worked in the Service organization in service sales. Prior to joining SMA in 2007, I worked as a trainer for AT&T / Bell Labs Lucent Technologies, where my specialties included environmental health and safety, fiber optics and central office back-up power systems. 15 years of experience as a trainer. I hold a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from California State University, Chico.
Kathie Zipp, Moderator, Solar Power World
After graduating from Kent State University, Kathie was introduced into the world of trade journalism, specifically in the renewable energy sector. She takes what she learned from covering the wind industry into writing about the technology, installation and development of solar energy.
