Deutsche Messe (DMAG) and its U.S. subsidiary, Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA), announce the launch of DMAG’s first-ever U.S.-based energy-themed trade show, Hydrogen + Fuel Cells North America. The show will be staged alongside Solar Power International at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from September 10-13, 2017. Solar Power International draws 650 exhibitors and 18,000 visitors and is North America’s largest solar energy industry trade show. Also taking place alongside Solar Power International are Energy Storage International, America’s largest energy storage exhibition, and the Smart Energy Microgrid Pavilion. HFUSA will organize Hydrogen + Fuel Cells North America in cooperation with Tobias Renz FAIR.
“Hydrogen + Fuel Cells North America is a perfect fit for Solar Power International. The respective technologies covered by the shows are closely related and growing in importance in the sustainable energy sector,” said Benjamin Low, International Director in charge of energy shows at Deutsche Messe.
For more than 20 years, DMAG has organized the group exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells + Batteries as a distinct showcase at HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s largest industrial technology trade show held annually in Hannover, Germany. In 2016, the showcase featured more than 160 exhibitors from 25 nations. “For the first time in the highly attractive U.S. market, we will offer the international business and research community involved in renewable energy systems a new networking platform,” added Low.
Deutsche Messe also operates several other energy-themed trade shows outside of Germany, including the largest annual Canadian Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition, CanWEA, and the largest annual Canadian Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, Solar Canada, organized by HFUSA. DMAG also operates two trade shows in Turkey, Eletrotech EURASIA and ICCI. All of these shows are international offshoots of Energy, the world’s largest trade show for energy technologies held annually at HANNOVER MESSE. Energy draws 1,200 exhibitors.
“Launching Hydrogen + Fuel Cells North America is part of our overall strategy to grow and expand our renewable energy trade show portfolio in North America,” said Larry Turner, President & CEO of HFUSA.
