Trimark has opened a field office in Palmdale, on the front lines of California’s massive growth in utility-scale photovoltaic power generation.
“Trimark is expanding into the Antelope Valley in order to support PV projects throughout their lifespan,” said Bob Wood, Trimark’s Chief Operating/Technical Officer. “Having an office near these resources helps us support development today and provides a base for delivering the operations and maintenance services required to optimize performance over the lifetime of the resource.”
The Palmdale/Lancaster area is front and center in the growing, utility-scale solar power industry. According to Energy Acuity, within 25 miles of Palmdale, there are more than 40 utility-scale solar resources either operating or under construction with generation capacity totaling more than 1.1 GW. And more resources are planned. In addition, Trimark’s new office will serve as a base to support more than 50 wind power projects in the region.
Due in part to the boom in renewable power, Palmdale was listed as the fourth-fastest growing real estate market in Los Angeles County in 2015. Other economic indicators show equally strong signs of growth. According to Sperling’s Best Places, the area’s job growth over the next 10 years is predicted to be 36.95%.
“Almost every new PV resource announcement suggests that it will create jobs,” said Wood. “Trimark is one of the many companies that is hiring to meet both immediate and long-term needs of this industry. We are currently seeking skilled technical staff for our growing operation.”
Trimark’s new office is at 40015 Sierra Highway, Suite B180, Palmdale, CA 93550.
