Ingeteam is partnering with Berlin-based CharIn organization to help grow fast charging systems for electric vehicles.
CharIn (Charging Interface Initiative e.V.) was founded by Audi, BMW, Daimler, Mennekes, Opel, Phoenix Contact, Porsche, TÜV SÜD and Volkswagen, to support the fast charging infrastructure for the next generation of electric vehicles being developed with higher operating ranges.
CharIn is drawing up the specification for a new 350 kW ultra-fast charger offering charging times of just 20 minutes for 300 kms.
Now that Ingeteam is a member of this organization, the company is in a position to collaborate in drawing up the technical specifications required for the development of rapid charging, and may possibly conduct interoperability tests.
