German manufacturer Phocos offers solar-powered charge controllers and various components for off-grid power supplies. The company has a North America office in Tucson, Arizona.
The company offers a wide product range from charge controllers to lighting systems to DC appliances such as refrigerators and freezers. Phocos said its products are eco-friendly, energy-saving solutions for off-grid solar energy systems.
Phocos’ roots are in extensive research. In the mid-1980s, German engineers from Ulm University of Applied Sciences developed new technologies for charge controllers. In 2000, some of these researchers founded Phocos. To this day, Phocos maintains a close relationship with the university in the field of off-grid power supply.
The founders of Phocos set their sights particularly on off-grid solar-powered applications, an area where demand is continuously rising globally. Phocos supplies specialized products and solutions for rural electrification, outdoor lighting, SCADA, RVs, boats, telecommunication, transportation and many other applications.
