Moss has completed its first solar project in Hawaii, which it said also happens to be the largest utility-scale solar project in the state. Known as Waianae Solar, the 40-MW DC project is on approximately 200 acres in Oahu. REC Solar was the EPC general contractor in charge of the engineering, procurement and construction of the project which is owned and operated by Eurus Energy America.

REC Solar hired the Moss solar team for the installation of the Exosun single-axis tracker system, a system that tracks the sun over the course of the day for optimal power generation. We worked in conjunction with the Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters to install the tracker system.

Moss is proud to help the state of Hawai’i take another step towards achieving their goal of 100% clean energy by 2045. We would like to thank the entire team for their dedication and commitment to building the largest solar project in the state of Hawaii.
