Last August, SMA Solar Technology announced it would close its inverter production facilities in Denver, Colorado as part of its plan to consolidate global inverter production in Germany and China.

Assets from the facility are now being auctioned off through BiditupAuctions Worldwide in a two-day sale online in May. The item auctioned from SMA’s 170,000 and 150,000 square foot facilities will include equipment specific to the solar inverter industry, as well as machinery and plant support equipment.

For a complete listing of the assets for sale, visit www.biditup.com.

“A sale of this magnitude is very significant first and foremost for the opportunity this auction offers for those in the burgeoning solar industry,” said Nyk Westbrook, Director of Business Development at Biditup. “Beyond that, the variety of top quality, ‘like-new’ assets and equipment will be suitable for many different applications and industries.”

Lots from day one will start closing at 10:00 a.m. MST on May 10. Lots from day two will start closing at 10:00 a.m. MST on May 11. Previews will be held on May 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please call (818) 508-7034.
