On June 4, NRG Energy will provide a guided tour of the plant to delegates of CSP Today USA. The site visit is a first glance at the operational plant which received a loan guarantee of more than $1.6 billion as a result of the Department of Energy’s Loan Guarantee Program.

The Ivanpah plant was unveiled by Energy Secretary Dr. Ernest Moniz at the inaugural opening ceremony in February after months of anticipation. The plant features more than 175,000 heliostats pointing at three towers over 450 ft. tall.

NRG Energy operates the plant through their wholly owned subsidiary NRG Energy Services who are responsible for the operations and maintenance of the plant.

To find the full agenda for CSP Today USA 2014 (June 4-6 in Las Vegas),  Ivanpah developers NRG Energy and BrightSource Energy will also be speaking about the Ivanpah project.  If you want to find out the full agenda details and speaker line-up at CSP Today USA 2014 then visit http://bit.ly/csptodayusa2014.
