The SunSpec Alliance and Intersolar North America today announced that California Senate President Pro Tempore, Kevin de León (D – Los Angeles), will deliver the keynote address at the 2017 Intersolar Finance Symposium to be held on July 10 at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. De León’s remarks will describe California’s plans for leading the renewable energy industry in the U.S. and how those plans compare with those of the federal government.
Now in its seventh year, the Intersolar Finance Symposium—the largest event of its type on the west coast—features a star-studded lineup of speakers including Richard Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance for the state of New York, plus Katya Baron of Mosaic, Michael Eckhart of Citigroup, Benjamin Shih of Moody’s, Cecil Smart of Kroll Bond Ratings, Stephen Viscovich of Credit Suisse, Eric White of Dividend Solar, Michael DeLucia of Sidewalk Ventures, and 22 other industry leaders.
“On behalf of the great state of California, we welcome the opportunity to address the Intersolar Finance Symposium and tell our story,” said de León. “Our commitment to investments in renewable energy and cutting-edge clean-tech research are leading reasons why California remains the capital of innovation,” he concluded.
“We are thrilled that Senate President Pro Tem de León has agreed to speak to the solar finance industry at this pivotal moment,” said Thomas Tansy, Chairman of conference organizer SunSpec Alliance. “It is obvious that state-level leadership will be required to sustain the growth of this important business sector. With both Senator de León and Richard Kauffman presenting this year, Intersolar Finance Symposium participants will hear from state-government thought leaders from California and New York.”
The Intersolar Finance Symposium and its companion event, the Intersolar Asset Management Summit, will be held on July 10th and 11th at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. About the SunSpec Alliance SunSpec Alliance is an alliance of more than 100 distributed energy
