Following the Chinese launching of the SunGrow’s commercial solar string inverter, the SG60KTL, the company released a series of new residential solar string inverters at Intersolar Europe 2014.
The manufacturer says its new KTL-S and KTL-D series products are some of the most efficient single-phase residential string inverters on the market, with maximum efficiencies of up to 98%. Ranging from 2.5 to 5kW, with single MPPT and dual MPPT models available, the units weigh under 20 lbs. each, and can be handled and installed by one person easily. They also come with WiFi built in so customers and installers can view production and system status from Sungrow’s web-based PV monitoring and alert system without the need of an existing internet connection, or connecting any additional cables.
The KTL-S and KTL-D inverters have been certified with TÜV, CE, AS4777, G83/1 and VDE AR N 4105.
