Yingli Solar Ranked Third Strongest Chinese Brand In Germany

A recent study conducted by Huawei, a China-based provider of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) solutions, ranked Yingli Solar as the third (17%) strongest Chinese-origin brand in Germany. Lenovo (30%) and Huawei (21%) were ranked first and second respectively.

The study, prepared in cooperation with the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies and TNS Emnid, interviewed 2600 individuals, among those 200 top economic decision-makers, 100 policy-makers and 1000 random respondents in both Germany and China.

As a China-based solar PV industry leader in vertically integrated module manufacturing, Yingli Solar has been investing in marketing campaigns to promote brand equity and public reputation. As Yingli Solar is the first Chinese and the first renewable energy company to sponsor both the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup, the company’s brand campaign “All Under One Sun” incorporates elements of Chinese culture into the message of sustainability awareness. It encompasses both digital promotions and the company’s on-site activities in Brazil.
