Fronius International recently presented its products and technologies at the Intersolar trade fair in Munich. The company says the new SnapINverter generation was particularly well received. This comprehensive device series from Fronius covers 1.5 to 20 kW. They are safe and easy to install and service, extremely flexible and usable anywhere. They are also future-proof and user-friendly.
“Our SnapINverters were the highlight of this year’s Intersolar,” says Martin Hackl, head of the Solar Energy Division at Fronius. “They generated extremely high levels of interest from both visitors and end clients alike.”

The next inverter in the SnapINverter series, the Fronius Symo Hybrid, will be launched at the end of the year. This device will be available in power categories from 3 to 5 kW. Together with the Fronius Solar Battery, it provides maximum autonomy in the private electricity supply. The battery connected on the DC-side ensures maximum efficiency in the overall system, since it avoids multiple conversions between DC and AC. The three-phase design guarantees maximum self-consumption and emergency power supply throughout the whole house. Furthermore, the storage solutions can be adapted to individual needs and existing PV systems can be retrofitted at any time.
Over the next year, the Fronius Primo and Fronius Eco inverters will be introduced into the series. The single-phase, transformerless Fronius Primo is the communicative inverter for optimised energy management. It is available in power categories ranging from 3.6 to 8.2 kW and is particularly well-suited to private households.
The Fronius Eco ranks as the compact project inverter for the highest yields. It is a three-phase inverter that sets completely new standards in safety with a high protection class of IP 66. The device will be available in the 24 and 27 kW power categories by the end of 2014.
