In its latest newsletter, solar inverter and optimizer manufacturer SolarEdge offers these new products and updates:
New Mounting Bracket
SolarEdge inverters have a new mounting bracket. The transition to the new bracket will occur during Q2 2014 and will affect all inverters. You should be seeing them shortly. The new bracket is smaller, requiring fewer mounting holes. In addition, after mounting the inverter the bracket is now concealed, leaving a more aesthetically pleasing installation.
New Safety Switch Terminal Blocks
SolarEdge inverters will now be supplied with advanced terminal blocks for the AC and DC connections. Please review all installation documentation as the wiring requirements have now changed.
Product Update: P700 Approved For Use With SE9KUS Inverters
SolarEdge now allows installing P700 power optimizers with the SE9KUS inverter, the three phase inverter for the 120/208V grid. When planning the installation with P700 make sure that it complies with design limitations described in the power optimizer and the inverter datasheets: minimum string length, maximum power per string, and DC/AC over-sizing. Use the SolarEdge Site Designer for the verification of the design.
