AET (Applied Energy Technologies) launches its Rayport-I, an innovative Solar Inverter Mounting Kit for string inverters. After identifying a growing need in the solar market for an inverter racking solution, AET responded with the design and manufacture of its first-in-kind inverter mounting kit, giving installers a simple, fast and cost effective mounting solution for both rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays. The Rayport-I will be on display at AET booth #9133, at Intersolar North America, from July 7-10, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA.
Rigorously tested, the Rayport-I can withstand the most challenging environmental conditions. It fits most string inverters on the market, can mount at a 15 or 30 degree tilt and can be used in both rooftop and ground mount systems. Made of stainless steel, it is corrosion resistant and offers superior durability. At only 13 lbs, the Rayport-I is lightweight and compact, reducing shipping costs and enabling easier handling on the job site. The Rayport-I is ideal for solar systems in a variety of sizes and configurations. For rooftop installations, the Rayport-I can be installed without penetrating the roof. Units are available for immediate shipment.
John Harberts, VP of Product Development at AET, said, “In the past, solar rooftop system designers were often hampered by space constraints and would have to develop their own ad-hoc custom solution for the inverter placement. It is often time-consuming and challenging to find a suitable and easy place to put the inverter in roof mount systems.”
“We believe that design innovation and cost control go hand in hand and we are constantly challenging our engineers to deliver innovative, high quality solutions to meet the quality, service and value our customers have come to expect. The Rayport-I is the first product of its kind and provides a simple and reliable solution to this design challenge. It will not only save valuable installation time and help minimize installation-related maintenance issues, it is also designed to work within developers’ budget constraints,” continued Mr. Harberts.
According to Wolf Research, “The North American PV mounting systems market is poised to grow 67 percent between 2013 and 2018 to account for more than $1.5 billion.” AET is one of the world’s top 10 racking companies. With over 160 MW of world-class mounting systems installed in the United States, AET boasts and impressive record of 100% on time delivery, 100% on budget and zero warranty claims.
