Tony Clifford, CEO of Standard Solar, a full-service development, construction, integration, financing and installation of solar electric systems company, has been elected to a third term as a member of the Executive Committee for the Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA). (Click here to Tweet)
Clifford joins ten of the solar industry’s foremost authorities on the committee, meeting every other week to discuss key issues for the industry and the Association.
“Overall, I try to view issues with the mindset of what is best for the overall solar industry,” says Clifford. “That being said, as an Elected Member of the Board serving on the Executive Committee, I try to represent the views and voice the concerns of smaller solar firms as these businesses form the bedrock of the solar industry nationally.”
The Committee is elected by the Board of Directors. Since the full board only meets four times a year, the Executive Committee deals with board-level issues that require more oversight than can be managed in four quarterly meetings, and with breaking issues that require a rapid response.
