Tigo Energy aims to make designing a smart module system, or retrofitting an existing one easier with its new design tool, which the company says provides all relevant information in less than 2 minutes. The tool works by entering a few basic system parameters to yield all the needed information.
The tool provides the following:
- For new Smart Module systems:
Maximum possible string length for the chosen system
Number of Gateways and Management Units required.
- For existing systems to be retrofitted:
Matching Optimizer type for the PV module type, layout and configuration, and number of required optimizers.
Number of Gateways and Management Units required.
