ReneSola, a technology provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) products, will develop a 13 MW solar project in Dorset, England.
The company expects the solar farm to be fully operational and connected to the national energy grid by end of this year.
ReneSola has identified a number of potential buyers for the project, which received planning consent in January 2014 and is eligible for the United Kingdom’s support scheme to promote renewable electricity-generating technologies.
The project will feature ReneSola PV modules exclusively, specifically the company’s top-rated Virtus II.
The United Kingdom is one of the company’s best-performing markets, and one of the world’s fastest-growing major solar markets, while the new project will further strengthen its leading market position in United Kingdom. The 13 Dorset project will be one of a series of selective projects it plan to build in the coming quarters.
