Suniva, a metro-Atlanta-based manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, is powering the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in West Palm Beach, Fla., with its Buy America-compliant modules.
The VAMC is one of numerous government facilities in the United States, Powered by Suniva, that is benefiting from a high-powered solar installation.
The Buy America-compliant solar system features Suniva’s high-powered OPTimus monocrystalline modules installed on two buildings by South Coast Solar (SCS), a Solar Power World Top Contractor in 2013.
In the first year, the system is estimated to generate approximately 281,925kWh which will offset 84% of the facilities usage. SCS provided full design, procurement, installation, utility coordination and commissioning of the system. All of the materials used on this project are BAA compliant.
