Brian Stearns, President / Founder, EcoFasten Solar
In the late 1970’s, Brian began his career as a slate roofing contractor. Two decades later, frustrated by the too-often failure rate of the snow guards he was using on his projects, he decided to make his own snow guards. After noticing his snow guard designs worked where others failed, contractors started asking Brian where he was getting them. Alpine SnowGuards was born. It wasn’t long until solar installers approached Brian, seeking the watertight roof penetrations and flashings unique to Alpine SnowGuards, for use in installing solar arrays. In 2008, under the name EcoFasten Solar, Brian presented a line of watertight solar roof mounts to the industry.
