Live webinar is October 1st at 2 PM Eastern.
California Independent Systems Operator (CAISO) and California Investor Owned Utilities have, in the past several years, published requirements for new solar power projects. These regulations affect all projects connecting to the electrical grid serving California customers. These requirements are designed to gain performance information on potential projects and provide key information in order to regulate existing renewable energy power sources on the grid. This assures that power production is as efficient as possible. Critical to efficiency calculations is reliable, accurate ground based meteorological and solar irradiance data located each project location.
This webinar will specifically explore CAISO and California Utility monitoring requirements for meteorological data reporting. The presenter and panel of experts will seek to inform California Solar project developers, owners or contractors regarding this topic. Primarily the session will seek to answer why a project needs meteorological data, why it is important to CAISO and how to provide it in an efficient and cost effective way. Various hardware options will be explored as well as some information from turnkey solution providers of complete monitoring systems. A panel of industry experts and Lufft customers will be on task to answer a series of pointed questions regarding their experience navigating this complex regulatory environment.
Attend this webinar to learn:
– History of CAISO and Public Utility regulations
– Explanation of Meteorological Station Requirements and Why the data is important
– How Lufft Weather stations meet the requirements and why they may be preferred
– Listen to directed questions on CAISO/Utility monitoring requirements from a panel of experts in the field
